Nach dem Tode meines unvergesslichen Freundes Dr. L. Pfeiffer babe ich die Novitates conchologicae bis zum Schluss dieses funften Bandes fortgeführt, und werde bei dem grossen Interesse, welches ich diesem Zweig meiner naturwissenschaftlichen Unternehmungen widme, mit den geeig neten Kraften das Werk fortsetzen. Eine Aenderung beabsichtige ich darin, dass ich künftig die Land und meeres-conchylien ungetrennt herausgeben lasse, und zwar in dem handlicheren Format med. Ferner werde zugleich eine uncolorirte Ausgabe zu dem sehr billigen Preis von 3 Mk. Fur eine Lieferung mit 4 Tafeln, in der Erwartung einer grosseren Be theiligung an dem Unternehmen, erscheinen lassen.
