Those Notes were the embodiment of a set of lectures which, in the course of my duty, I had to draw up with the View of explaining the different kinds of work connected with the building trades comprised in the War Department Triennial Schedules of Contract they have now been care fully revised and added to, and it is hoped may, in their new form, be of use to Engineering and Architectural students, as well as to many of the younger members of those professions.
