Excerpt from A Biological Reconnaissance of the Base of the Alaska Peninsula
The present report contains an account of a hasty trip made dur ing the latter part of the summer and fall of 1902 to the base of the Alaska Peninsula. Work was done on both coasts and in part of the interior. On account of the importance of the region as a meet ing ground of some of the life areas of Alaska, it was desired that more time be spent in the field, but the shortness of the season pre vented. Since it is not feasible at present to continue work in this region, it has been decided to record such results as were obtained.
