Excerpt from The Classical Journal, Vol. 22: For September and December, 1820
Such are the principal works, from an attentive perusal of the greater part of which those inferences have been deduced which I have arranged in the present article. My chief object in commencing, for my own satisfaction, a brief inquiry into the origin, progress, prevalence, and ultimate decline of Idolatry.
