To. Test it on the basis of Grammar, and thereby facilitate the acquisition of it to learners, I have undertaken the present work. How far I have suc ceeded those who are skilled 1n the language will be the best judges. L have used my best endeavours to render the book as complete as possible it contaihs a scale of the vowels, diphthongs, and triphthongs, collated with corresponding English' sounds, and the various powers of the consonants are pointed out, to render their pronunciation more easy to the learner.
