Synopsis

"NVQ Administration Workpacks" are designed for students and trainees and aim to provide the material needed to achieve NVQs and SVQs at levels 1, 2 and 3. The material is unit-based and covers the entire, existing range of NVQ units. The material for each unit includes a simple "how to use this workbook" section, "how to collect evidence" advice and help on "how to write up a log book" (with a fully completed example), and covers specific underpinning knowledge relevant to each unit. There is a statement of performance criteria for each unit, a description of each element within the unit, clear tasks and assignments for the student to do, pre-prepared forms to record evidence, and review checklists to confirm understanding. The writing style is designed to be easy, simple and straightforward, with advice to the student at every stage and a clear design layout to facilitate understanding. To maximize the flexibility of use, each unit is available for individual purchase in a hole-punched and shrink-wrapped workpack. This allows flexibility for the individual student or trainee who may have prior learning, to buy only what he or she needs.

Workpacks are also available in shrink-wrapped packs of ten of the same title. In addition, for each NVQ level, there is an A4 ringbinder pack comprising all the units for that level available.
