In answer to many inquiries it might be not amiss to record that the writer had an indi vidual in mind, a bus boy of his dining ao quaintance, but that the incidents are entirely fictional.
The stories were written as part of an every day program, and have not been revised in text. Each was written on a Sunday afternoon in a newspaper editorial room, and each con sumed about an hour in the process.
