Excerpt from Collected Papers of the Mayo Clinic Rochester, Minnesota, 1914, Vol. 6
The increasing number of papers now being published annually from the Mayo Clinic has made it seem expedient to abstract for the present volume some of the articles the material of which has been partially covered in this or in previous volumes. In some instances papers here presented are part of a series of studies which have appeared in earlier volumes or are to be continued later. W'here papers have been thus grouped an efiort has been made to abridge repetitions that were necessary when the study was first presented. It is hoped that this method will serve to give a clearer conception of the relationship of researches on one subject by the same investigator as well as to reduce the size of the volume.
