Excerpt from The Irritable Bladder, Its Causes and Treatment: Including a Practical View of Urinary Pathology, Deposits, and Calculi

Altera tions of structure, and whatever physical properties and chemical constitution may be associated therewith, are together represented by the science of Pathological Ana tomy, while Pathology is thus restricted to alterations of function. Such, then, is the general nature of Pathology, and such its more limited and usual signification.
