IN preparing the second edition of Prompt Aid to the Injured I have endeavored to make such changes as will cause the subject-matter to conform to the pres ent knowledge of the different topics included in this work.
A chapter on Hygiene has been introduced, with the hope that it will give to the reader a general idea of the methods by which the body may be kept in a healthy state. A chapter on Nursing was contemplated, but the space available for this purpose was insufficient to properly present the subject; it was therefore omitted.
