A definite move has been made to centra_ize this comparatively new phase of extension work'under a rural community organization progect in the extension service in 14 States. Work of a similar character, but in a less formal way, is being done in other States and in a few, plans are under way for starting a rural organization project in the near future. The States which are now maintaining the projects are listed in the table on page4.
