They appear as they were cre-ated, typed on 3 x 5-inch index cards. These texts include diary-like revelations, influential quotes, and hilarious and horrific fantasies. Walker explains that, "What I wanted to write I felt I didn't have the patience for, so I kept these little diatribes and conversations limited in size. What I liked about working this way was the sound of the typing and the way voices and places revolved around my head, settled for a second on the page and then went back in to the whirlwind." After re-reading the finished cards, Walker organized several groups by taping them together and, in a few cases, edited some sentences with pencil and black tape. Some of each are included here, and when possible the original form of the cards is followed.
