About the Author
Ian Berry is Curator of the Tang Teaching Museum and Art Gallery at Skidmore College. Darby English is Assistant Director of Research and Academic Programs, Clark Art Institute. Vivian Patterson is Associate Curator, Collections Management at the Williams College Museum of Art. Mark Reinhardt is Associate Professor of Political Science and American Studies at Williams College.

See images for condition. About the book >.>.> Printed throughout this book is a selection of writings by Kara Walker written in the spring of 2001. They appear as they were cre-ated, typed on 3 x 5-inch index cards. These texts include diary-like revelations, influential quotes, and hilarious and horrific fantasies. Walker explains that, "What I wanted to write I felt I didn't have the patience for, so I kept these little diatribes and conversations limited in size. What I liked about working this way was the sound of the typing and the way voices and places revolved around my head, settled for a second on the page and then went back in to the whirlwind." After re-reading the finished cards, Walker organized several groups by taping them together and, in a few cases, edited some sentences with pencil and black tape. Some of each are included here, and when possible the original form of the cards is followed. Condition: book is an exlibrary with stamps at front and rear, pocket removal remnants at rear and stickers. There is some soiling to the board edges; some general reading wear. Spine is slightly loose, but not separated. Is fragile but entirely functional edition. I could find no markings in text, although there may be some stray ones.
