History of the Bible. It is arranged in dictionary form, edited by Rev. T. K. Cheyne and J. Sutherland Black. Three volumes have been issued up to the present, bringing down the work to the end of the letter P. Another special work is Hasting's Dictionary of the Bible; this deals with the Language, Literature, Contents, and Theology of the Bible. The proofs of this work have been revised by Drs. Davidson. Driver and Swete, which is a guarantee of trustworthiness. Three volumes have been published, bringing the work to the end of letter P, the concluding volume will be published shortly.
The Polychrome Bible is also worthy of attention it is a new English translation, printed in colours, exhibiting the composite structure of the various books it contains explanatory notes and pictorial illustrations.
