Excerpt from Index to the Transcripts of the House Debates of the 82nd General Assembly: State of Illinois, January 14, 1981-January 12, 1983
Unfortunately, although the debates have been recorded since the Fall of 1971, these proceedings have not been published. They have, of course, been available to the public as the 1970 Constitution requires, but this has been through the legislative offices and the Index Depart ment of the Office of the Secretary of State on an individual request basis rather than through a formal and complete publication.

Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book is a comprehensive study of the historical evolution of the concept of freedom in Western thought. It traces the idea of freedom from its origins in ancient Greece through its development in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance to its modern manifestations. The author argues that freedom is not a static concept but rather has evolved over time in response to changing social and political circumstances. He examines the different ways in which freedom has been understood and exercised in different historical periods and cultures, and the ways in which it has been contested and redefined. The book offers a unique and thought-provoking perspective on the history of freedom and its significance for our understanding of the human condition.
