Excerpt from The Kappa Alpha Journal, Vol. 25: Published Bi-Monthly During the Collegiate Year by the Fraternity; October 1907
After dinner Kappa Alphas began to come in; groups of three and four. A couple here, and now and then a lone delegate, sur rounded by suit eases, curious colored porters, and soon the out stretched hands Of a score of welcoming brothers. The lobby and hallway was soon a laughing, joshing, jostling mass of enthusiastic collegians. Introduction followed fast on introduction, and men who entered a moment ago as strangers were soon so enveloped in the sea Of friendship and hospitality that to the unsophisticated eye we might have all been members of one great family, meeting after years of separation.
