In the first part, the alphabetical arrangement of the Di rectory, all addresses which have been verified by direct replies, since the last edition, from the persons themselves, are fol lowed by an asterisk Names which are followed by an interrogation mark have not replied to blanks for at least two years, and will be omitted from the next edition if not verified in the meantime. All names not designated as above, reported for the last edition, or for good reasons are supposed to be correct, but if not previously verified, will be followed by a in the next edition.
