Madame de Montigny, brouillée dès longtemps avec M. De Man ville, le trouva mauvais et cessa de la voir; et quand le malade fut tombé en enfance elle épousa M. De Sabran, officier de marine, qui avait de beaux états de service mais qui comptait cinquante ans de plus qu'elle, et dont la fortune était fort mince. Elle le connaissait depuis son enfance, et nous recommandons à l'attention de ceux qui veulent la bien juger ce qu'elle dit de ce mariage à l'époque où elle donnait sa fille Delphine au jeune comte de Custines.
