Excerpt from The Development Hypothesis: Is It Sufficient?
But is there nothing but development? Are ob jects produced in this way and in no other? That is the question for discussion. In answering it, we have to insist in the first place, that development implies a previous matter out Of which the thing is devel Oped. This matter must have properties which make it to act and evolve things out of itself. All but athe ists acknowledge that this matter has been created by God. The development proceeds in so orderly and in so beneficent a manner that it seems to give evi dence of the existence of a wise and good God.
