Ut vero in ipso poeta, ita in singulis quoque fabulis ejus dmdicandis miram quantum inter se distent Virorum doctorum sententiae, quod cum in aliis fabulis cerni potest, tum in ea. Quam singulari quedam indole esse consist, dico Alcestin. At que cum etiam nunc maxime inter se dissentient viri docti de Alcestidis indole et natura, operae pretium videtur esse, non nulla de illa fabula disserere.
