On verse le liquide contenu dans le vase jusqu'à ce qu'il ne reste que les parties situées au fond, sur lesquelles oii jette ensuite une petite quantité d'eau. Par cette Opération, on rend au sang sa couleur rouge, et tous les doutes sont levés. On voit que ce diagnostic n'offre presque jamais de difficultés réelles. Il n'y aurait donc pas d'intérêt à le résumer.
