Synopsis

This is an introduction to the three basic areas of electronical engineering - circuits, electronics and electromechanics. It focuses on topics and issues of interest to the non-electrical engineering student. There is a separate chapter on digital systems, including an introduction to microprocessors, data acquisition systems and data transmissions in digital systems. An appendix contains review material on the EIT exam, referring students to sections in the text applicable to the exam, while a second appendix provides reviews of complex algebra, matrix algebra and LaPlace transforms.
