Synopsis
The Stoddard text provides readable, easy-to-understand discussions of grammar principles along with rules of usage and helpful illustrations of how these principles should be applied. Although it is not a comprehensive grammar text, it will supplement any business English or communication course taught at many two- and four-year colleges and universities, where the instructor is concerned about students needing additional drill-type editing exercises and activities to learn how to apply important grammar concepts correctly. It concentrates on the most frequently used and abused principles, rules, and concepts of grammar usage.

About the Author
Stoddard, Bell, and Perry are members of the faculty of BYU in the department of information management. The authors have distinguished themselves by pursuing extensive research in the area of learning theory and specifically language usage mastery techniques. Stoddard and Bell, specifically, have published numerous papers on the subject which led to their development of this text.
