History of voice and data communications is covered in chapter 1.
The seven OSI layers are discussed in chapter 4-7.
Integrated Service Networks in chapter 9 provide clear explanations that enable students to progress onto more advanced course discussions of integrated service networks.
In chapter 10, students are taught to recognize the advantages and limitations inherent in Networks such as Ethernet, Token Ring, Internet, and DQDB.
The appendices includes Advanced Communications network material.
