Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. First UK Edition. First impression of the true first edition, published in th UK in 1969. ***Near fine in salmon-res cloth-covered boards with black titles to the spine. The boards are clean and unmarked. No bumps or creases. Corners sharp. Page block edges clean. No reading lean to the binding. Spine tight. Internally also near fine with no inscriptions - just a contemporary small green Foyles bookseller's label to the bottom corner of the front pastedown (hidden under the dustwrapper flap). Pages clean and bright. No foxing. No creases or tears. ***In a very good indeed, colour illustrated dustwrapper, which has not been price-clipped, retaining the original publisher's printed dual price of 23/- net / £1.15net. The dustwrapper is complete, with the extremities just slightly rubbed, nicked and creased. Spine of dustwrapper unfaded. Two very small closed tears to the top edge of the back panel. The white areas of the dustwrapper are slightly rubbed and discoloured. ***205 pages. 204mm x 134mm. ***'Jake Dunwoodie, Australian Minister responsible for the nuclear complex, life-force, is the latest of many prominent scientists to disappear under mysterious circumstances and the London headquarters of 6D2 are getting worried.
