On obtient deux autres relations entre ces quatre points en choisissant, au lieu de l'arête ab, deux autres arêtes du tétraèdre abcd, de façon que les trois arêtes choisies ne soient pas dans un même plan. Il ne peut d'ailleurs y avoir plus de trois relations distinctes.
