Es mi propósito du rante el tiempo que permanezca sepa rado del poder dedicar todas mis energías y capacidades á ayu dar al Gobierno y a mis compatriotas fomentar nuevas indus trias en que los últimos se ocupen con probables, buenos y prontos resultados. Entre estas industrias la principal es la del cultivo de bananas, y con tal fin llamo la atención de los ca pitalistas y hombres de negocios de todo el país para que la es tudieu y vean la manera como se establecen en los terrenos na cionales que recorre el ferrocarril de Santa Marta y que_cl Gobierno cederá gratuita y convenientemente á los que qu1e ran ocuparse en ella.
