Jean de Schelandre termine sa tragi-comédie de Tyr et Sidon parue en 308 par un assassinat; son titre tient aux scènes comiques intercalées au milieu des scènes tragiques; il y en a en effet quelques - unes dignes de la verve etlrontée d'aristophane.
