Of the leaders of history One at least made the tremendous assertion that He had an answer to this question. He proposed no theory of government, no scheme for social betterment. Rather Jesus typified, and advocated a way of life which He asserted we all could live if we would. Those of us who pro fess to follow Him may have formally accepted his teachings, yet today we find ourselves sometimes wondering either whether they are true or, if true, whether we are sufficiently intelligent to search out the way of life to which they seem to lead.
In an endeavor to make an honest estimate of the nature of some of the problems of our day and a careful study of the relation of Christianity to these problems it is proposed to hold a National Conference on the Christian Way of Life. Its pur pose is to promote the fullest study and discussion of international, racial and industrial problems in the light of the spirit and teach ings of Jesus. Both the Conference itself and the period of group study which is to precede it will be a wide - spread con ferring together of people of the most varied experiences.
