Ce n'est que dans les titres De _la vente et De l'échange qu'il a été possible de reproduire - d'une manière partielle bien enten da-le texte de Mourlon; le titre Du louage est entièrement Original. Pour la préparation de ce dernier titre, et quant au chapitre I'r qui traite du louape des choses, j'ai eu l'avantage d'une collaboration plus suivie de la part de MM. Dorais, cette collaboration, dans les autres parties de ce volume, se bornant à la revue de la jurisprudence. Cette revue, d'ailleurs, est très considérable, le nombre des arrêts cités dépassant douze cents.
Des circonstances que je ne pouvais contrôler; et le peu de place que les loisirs occupent dans la vie de celui 'qui est obligé de plaider très activement au palais, sont la cause du retard apporté à la publication de ce volume. J 'espère, Deo favente, que je pourrai faire mieux à l'avenir.
