Christ evidently considered the mood into which their minds had been thrown by his pre diction, as favorable to a fuller development of his ideas about the future. He handles the topic with great freedom. He speaks Of the conflicts which are coming in the world. Wars, famines, pestilences, earthquakes, persecutions for right eousness sake, abounding iniquity, the love Of many waxing cold, some enduring unto the end.
