That form of theological truth which you are expected to impart, and no other, is comprehended in the Confession of Faith. The church believes, indeed, that the Bible without tradition, the authority of Councils, or the sanction of men or angels, is the religion of Protes tants and it is because she believes that this Confession embodies the very mind and meaning of the Holy Spirit in the Bible, she will have no other teaching, since she will have no other Bible.
