The detection of alcohol among the mid products of tissue oxidation is no more proof that it is a proper substance to introduce into the dietary in beverages than the discovery of uric acid, the xanthin bodies, acetic acid, etc., in the tissues is proof that they are proper substances to put into food or drink.
