Originally published in hard covers by Collins in the UK and Random House in the US in 1960. The boards have bumping to the corners and some rubbing and fraying along the bottom edges. Page edges are browned with some marking. Front free endpaper removed and there is a tape mark down the right edge of the front pastedown. Library stamp to the copyright page. Tearing along the hinge at the rear endpapers with the webbing exposed and the binding feels slack. Staining to the edge of the rear free endpaper. The pages are a little browned with light stains in several places but they are otherwise unmarked. Jacket has surface creasing, browning to the rear panel and some light edge and surface wear.
