Synopsis
Shellover has woken up again. After a rather dull winter, Mrs Candy and her pets - the cat, the dog, the cow and the chickens - are relieved to find that his head is as full as ever of wonderful stories. Stories about green clad dancers who vanish at cockcrow, about a strange feathered child who hatches from a speckled egg, about a baby fished from the sea. But this time something else happens; when Shellover gets sleepy again the pets decide to tell their own stories - and they are really rather good at it.
