About the Author

Kate Pickering is a teacher, trainer and writer based in Madrid. She is the author of workbooks for Expressions, student's and teacher's books for Global Beginner and Elementary (with Lindsay Clandfield) and Communicate, a two-level speaking listening course for sixth-formers, all published by Macmillan. She is a regular speaker at Macmillan teachers' events in Spain and elsewhere and she combines writing with her work as Director of the Adults' Department at International House Madrid and teacher training both in-service and on Cambridge CELTA and DELTA programmes.
