Teachers will be able to 'link up' with a class to monitor their students' progress. ONLINE PRACTICE - Over 130 online resources including bonus interactive listening, vocabulary, reading, grammar and pronunciation activities to consolidate learning from the print components, CEF Checklists, reading worksheets, video, interactive word lists with pronunciation practice and bespoke practice. GRAMMAR - Clear and uncomplicated grammar explanations present new grammar elements. Students are always supported by the Language Reference pages at the back of their book allowing them to further work on a difficult area and understand the language. VOCABULARY - Difficult and out of context words from the text are presented in the glossary so students are not distracted by these lexical hurdles. READING - Texts are accessible for the relevant level, realistic and from a variety of different sources/contexts. About the Author

Lindsay Clandfield is a teacher, teacher trainer and international author from Canada. He is the main author of Macmillan’s new award-winning and critically acclaimed adult course Global (2010) and was a part of the author team for the popular Straightforward Series. Lindsay has won prestigious recognition for his writing, most notably for Global and Dealing with Difficulties (Delta Publishing, with co-author Luke Prodromou) both of which earned him a visit to Buckingham Palace to receive an award from the Duke of Edinburgh. After teaching in Mexico, Spain and the UK Lindsay began his writing career with the website Onestopenglish. He became a regular after winning the Lesson Share competition three times in a row.
