" It was bold of Roth to write a novel about being famous...a comic stroll in a hall of mirrors." -- "Newsweek"
" [Roth's] narrative hand is wonderfully sure, his comic timing worthy of the Ritz Brothers.... Not since Henry MIller has anyone learned to be as funny and compassionate and brutal and plaintive in the space of a paragraph." -- "Village Voice"
" Zuckerman Unbound is masterful, sure in every touch, as clear and economical of line as a crystal vase." -- "The New York TImes Book Review"

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Jonathan Cape First Edition ( 'First Published in Great Britain 1981 '). Both the book and dust jacket are in very good condition. The covers of the book are very clean. The gilt lettering on the spine is bright. The edges and corners are in excellent shape. The top page edge is red. The inside covers and end papers are olive green. There is a tiny square shadow of a removed price sticker on the front inside cover. The book is solidly bound. I'm not seeing any cracks or spaces between any of the facing pages. The covers are nicely, tightly bound. The pages are exceptionally clean. Scrolling through, I'm not finding any instances of soiling. There are no markings. No attachments. And no one has written their name or anything else anywhere in the book. You can see the dust jacket in the first few photos. There aren't any tears. The spine is a little sun lightened. There is crinkling at the top edge of the spine. The flaps are in solid condition. There's another tiny square shadow of was likely a price sticker off the bottom edge of the front flap. The jacket is price-clipped at the bottom corner of the front flap. That's the only clip.
