I am excited about this new book and want teachers to know.
I was invited to write this new Guide for Long and Short Range planning, because teachers are under great pressure to design detailed long-range plans, but have received little or no training on how to go about it.
Moreover, teacher evaluations often contain criteria for long-range planning, and teachers are being penalized when they cannot devise the requisite plans. I want to make the process simple and valuable for teachers.
Planning can be invigorating, not overwhelming. This book can be a great help to new teachers, teams of teachers, and those who are implementing long-range or strategic plans for the first time.
The sample plans are really helpful. You can "see" how one is "supposed to look".This book was designed from the class that I created to help new teachers do a good job with planning. We had no textbook, so this book "emerged" from the process. It has already helped dozens of new teachers pass one of the more difficult teacher evaluation processes in the country! It can help you.
