Richards is a Mathematics Teacher at Lamar Junior-Senior High School in Lamar, Missouri.

Tom Richards has worked as a development officer at Crown College in Minneapolis, Minnesota, since 2006 and formerly served as an associate minister to youth at Grace Church in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
