Synopsis
This edition of the established textbook has been extensively revised and updated. Chapters on land subsidence and landscape evaluation have been radically reduced, the information on weathering has been fundamentally altered and completely new chapters or sections have been added on the applications of remote sensing imagery, monitoring sediment yield and aeolian problems in drylands. The emphasis on land systems has been down-graded and the number of case studies and photographs has been increased. The geographical coverage of the case studies has been extended, especially in North America and Europe.
