Simon Blackburn is Edna J. Koury Distinguished Professor of Philosophy at the University of North Carolina. He was a fellow and Tutor at Pembroke College, Oxford from 1969 to 1990. The author ofSpreading the Word (1984) and Essays in Quasi-Realism, he edited the journalMind from 1984 to 1990.
