Paul T. Menzel is Professor of Philosophy Emeritus at Pacific Lutheran University. Bonnie Steinbock is Professor Emerita of the Department of Philosophy at the University at Albany. She is the author of Life Before Birth: The Moral and Legal Status of Embryos and Fetuses, the editor of the Oxford Handbook of Bioethics, and the co-editor of Ethical Issues in Modern Medicine: Contemporary Readings in Bioethics.
