About the Author
Richard Walker trained as a zoologist and gained his Ph.D. in physiology and biochemistry. He taught for eight years before leaving education to become a writer. Richard has written many award-winning books for children on natural history, human biology, and science, including The Kingfisher First Human Body Encyclopedia and How the Incredible Human Body Works.
