This is the teacher's book for the third level of the three-level "Compact" intensive language course. The course topics focus on modern and often controversial issues within a framework of activities. Each level of the course can be used independently or as part of a continuing programme. It has been designed for use with monolingual and multilingual groups. Practical exercises encourage students to explore the language to the full. This students' book provides course and practice materials, grammar reference and tapescripts in one volume. The teacher's book provides easy-to-follow suggestions for extending or reducing the length of the course, three projects, an answer key and an alphabetical word list. It also includes a photocopiable Placement Test in addition to a comprehensive introduction, with useful advice for teachers of short courses.
