Synopsis
Written to help resource the growing interest in paper engineering in schools, this text will support design/make and problem solving throughout the foundation secondary age range with possible application from top junior through to 4th year secondary. The book consists of two sections - a resources section providing information about techniques, materials, tools, paper structures and mechanisms, and a challenges section providing a series of context-based starting points which combine stimulus materials with specific challenges of various kinds. Challenges covered include packaging food, modelling interiors, greeting cards, presentation of products and mechanisms based on human movement.
