Synopsis
Multiple genres (poetry, drama, short stories) and other media (music, drawings, and graffiti) expand the reader's grasp of language and culture. New artists and writers address a broad range of issues and offer a contemporary view of the francophone world. All selections are authentic and integral: none are edited or excerpted. Dramatic readings, included on cassette, expose students to a variety of accents. The accompanying grammar workbook is integrated with the reader, each section reinforces vocabulary and grammar structures. Largely self-correcting, the workbook allows for self-paced instruction.
