Left for dead with a vicious blow to the head, Benny Cooperman wakes in hospital to find himself at the centre of his most puzzling mystery yet. The small-town private investigator knows he must have been close to solving a case but remembers little else including the name of his long-time girlfriend, Anna Abraham. He also suffers from a mysterious brain disorder (shared, in real life, by Howard Engel) that allows him to still write but not to read. With the help of Anna and a small notepad dubbed the "memory book," Benny settles down to some serious bedside sleuthing. The result is a delightfully entertaining whodunit with an unusual medical twist.About the Author:
