Synopsis
The poems of Sir Thomas Wyatt (1503?-42) are one expression of the intelligence and culture that found other scope in his diplomatic work in Renaissance Europe. They also reflect the outlook induced in him by less agreeable experiences in a court where Henry VIII's favour fluctuated wildly.
