Synopsis

How do you punish an immortal?

By making him human.

After angering his father Zeus, the god Apollo is cast down from Olympus. Weak and disoriented, he lands in New York City as a regular teenage boy. Now, without his godly powers, the four-thousand-year-old deity must learn to survive in the modern world until he can somehow find a way to regain Zeus's favour.

But Apollo has many enemies - gods, monsters and mortals who would love to see the former Olympian permanently destroyed. Apollo needs help, and he can think of only one place to go . . . an enclave of modern demigods known as Camp Half-Blood.

Review

PRAISE FOR THE LOST HERO
"Readers longing for a return to Camp Half-Blood will get their wish.... ...the action scenes come frequently as the three heroic teens fight monstrous enemies in North American locales..... Flashes of humor lighten the mood at times, but a tone of urgency and imminent danger seems as integral to this series as the last. With appealing new characters within a familiar framework, this spin-off will satisfy the demand for more." "Booklist""

PRAISE FOR THE BLOOD OF OLYMPUS

." . .fans will revel in the adventures, wit, and memorable characters found in this thundering conclusion to The Heroes of Olympus series." "Booklist Online""

PRAISE FOR THE HOUSE OF HADES

"In this adventure, victories are hard-won and the essence of bravery nuanced, making the journey as satisfying as it is entertaining." "Kirkus""

Condition: Fine. "How do you punish an immortal? My name is Apollo. I used to be a god. But what was before I was cast down from Olympus (a terrible misunderstanding) and woke up in a New York dumpster. I persuaded Percy Jackson to give me a lift to Camp Half-Blood. But the place is in chaos. Demigods are going missing and the all-seeing Oracles have fallen to a mysterious enemy known only as 'the Beast'. I figured that regaining Zeu's favour would involve a series of harrowing trials, and I was right (I usually am). My first task? Protect the final Oracle, hidden away for millennia. If I fail, the Beast will control the future, but worse - I'll be stuck as a teenage boy, forever . . .". Seller Inventory # c21cc9e3-f356-477e-81c5-2ba227ed13e0
