About the Author

Clive H. Church is John Monnet professor of European Studies at the University of Kent and Director of the Kent Centre for Europe. David Phinnemore is Lecturer in European Integration in the Institute of European Studies of the Queen's University of Belfast. The authors' first commentary on the Treaties, on which the Penguin Guide draws, won first prize in the European Information Awards of 1995.
